Standards
Editorial standards
These are the rules the desk works to. They are written to be checkable against the site itself, not to sound reassuring.
Independence
No advertiser, retailer or brand has approval over any entry. No entry is written to order. We do not accept payment for placement, and we do not publish sponsored posts. Products are chosen because they answer a constraint described in the entry.
Sourcing
Numerical claims about a garment — rise, inseam, leg opening, gauge, composition percentages, stretch — must be traceable to a brand size chart, a fabric composition, or a published technical document. Claims about how a material behaves over time must be traceable to published care guidance or a documented pattern in owner reports.
Where we cannot source a number, we do not publish it. Where a source is ambiguous — for example a size chart that gives garment measurements rather than body measurements — the entry says so.
Labelling
Affiliate links are disclosed above the shortlist on the page where they appear, and again on the outbound page
the link passes through. Outbound links carry rel="nofollow sponsored". A reader should never have to
hunt for the commercial relationship.
Images
Photography on this site is licensed stock imagery used to illustrate a subject. It is not a photograph of the specific garment under discussion, and we do not present it as one. We do not generate product images with AI, and we do not use a brand's product photography without permission.
Corrections
Factual errors are corrected in the entry. The published date stays; the updated date changes. Where a correction changes the conclusion of an entry, a note appears at the top of the page describing what changed.
Comments and contact
We do not host comments. Reader corrections and questions go to mail@wearpost.com and are answered by the desk that edits the section in question.
What this site is not
Wearpost is not a retailer, not a personal styling service and not a deal site. We publish no coupon pages, no discount roundups and no sale calendars. Entries are about how clothing is built and how it is worn.
