About
An outfit desk, not a shop
Wearpost is an independent editorial site about building outfits from clothes that already exist. We publish no product range, hold no stock and take no payment for coverage.
What we actually do
Most clothing writing describes a garment's appearance. We are more interested in the parts you can check before it arrives: the rise printed on a size chart, the stretch percentage in a fibre composition, the gauge of a knit, the width of a shoulder seam, the difference between a 9 oz and a 12 oz denim. Those numbers are dull individually and decisive together.
An outfit, in our terms, has four slots: a top, a layer, a bottom and a shoe. Almost every problem people describe as "I have nothing to wear" turns out to be a missing slot rather than a missing garment — three jackets, no trouser that works under any of them. Our formula pieces are built around that observation.
How the desk works
Wearpost is edited by a small desk of writers who work across womenswear and menswear. Pieces are commissioned against a fixed structure: a question the reader is actually asking, the measurements that answer it, and the cases where the answer changes. We revise entries when a size chart changes or a product is discontinued, and the updated date on each page reflects that.
We do not have a testing laboratory, a studio or a fit model panel. When a page says a garment runs narrow in the shoulder, that statement is traceable to a size chart, a composition label, a published care document, or a consistent pattern in public owner reviews — and the page says which.
Where the numbers come from
Four sources, in order of preference: the brand's own size chart and fabric composition; published technical or care documentation; independent measurements where the method is named; and patterns across public owner reports. If none of those exist for a claim we would like to make, the claim does not run.
That is also why you will not find a star rating on most pages. A rating we cannot trace to a specific product page, with a countable number of reviews, is not a fact we are willing to publish.
How the site is funded
Wearpost earns commission through affiliate links. When a shortlist on a page includes an outbound link, the page carries a visible disclosure directly above the list, and the link routes through an outbound page that repeats it. Commission never decides placement: our shortlists include garments with no affiliate programme at all, and we say so when that happens.
There are no sponsored posts, no paid placements and no advertorial on this site. If that changes, it will be labelled in the entry itself and on this page.
Corrections
If a measurement on this site is wrong, we want to know. Write to mail@wearpost.com with the page and the source you are relying on. Corrections are made in the entry and noted at the top of the page; the updated date changes, the published date does not.
